Pathways & Careers
Who we are
The Pathways Faculty exists to ensure all students experience relevant and meaningful learning that nurtures them to realise their full potential. We aim to equip our students with skills, experience, knowledge and insight so they can confidently transition into society according to their God-given calling and purpose.
Empowering Hope and Futures at KingsWay School
Career Education
At KingsWay, students in Years 11–13 are actively supported to explore meaningful career pathways and make confident decisions about their futures.
- Year 11 students participate in an engaging workshop with Mrs Perrow, where they explore their career clusters and identify their preferred career pathways.
- Year 12 students discover their Top 5 Gallup Strengths through LifeLab and take part in a series of workshops led by Mrs Perrow and Nikki Clark. They work through a personalised Strengths Workbook and attend the North Shore Career Expo, gaining valuable insights into a wide range of career and tertiary options.
- Year 13 students also attend the North Shore Career Expo and receive personalised guidance through one-on-one career appointments with Mrs Perrow to support their transition beyond school.
Career Guidance
One-on-one career appointments are available exclusively for Year 13 students. These sessions provide personalised support to help students clarify their career direction, next steps and how to navigate their career journey.
Subject Selection Support
Choosing the right subjects is an important step in your learning and career journey.
Step 1:
Start by accessing your relevant year level Subject Selection Guide. This guide includes valuable career planning activities designed to help you explore your skills, interests, career clusters, and values so you can align your choices with your preferred future pathways.
Step 2:
If you’re still unsure about your subject choices after working through the guide, don’t hesitate to have a conversation with your LifeLab teacher or Year Level Dean—they’re here to support you.
We are excited to introduce you to the Pathways Faculty’s career platform, CareerWise. This comprehensive resource offers the latest information on career events, upcoming university and tertiary provider open days, experiential events, career resources, and helpful career links.

Every student from Year 10 to Year 13 will be actively involved in planning their future learning and career goals through the Career Central platform. Career Central is a comprehensive online tool that allows students to develop an understanding of their identity over time, in order to transition from KingsWay into confident and connected life-long learners.
Please note that in order to have an appointment with Cherie, all students must complete Steps 1 & 2 of their Career Central profile, and their bulls-eye assessment (yellow icon at bottom of home page) before attending. Click on the link below for Career Central, then use Microsoft login details.
